Slickline Manager/Coordinator

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: A minimum of second class degree, B.Eng. in
Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, coupled with at least 5 years
of managerial experience in a relevant capacity. A master’s degree in a relevant discipline is an
added advantage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Slickline manager/coordinator will report directly to the managing consultant
Expertise in: You’re expected to possess proven expertise in:
 Slickline tools and equipment: This includes a thorough understanding of surface
components (like slickline units, winches, and pressure control equipment suchlers,
lubricators, and BOPs) and downhole tools (such as pulling tools, running tools, jars, and
specialized cutting or bailing tools). You should know their functions, limitations, and
proper application for various well conditions.
 Well intervention techniques: A solid grasp of the methodologies used to address
wellbore issues or optimize production. This covers operations like pressure and
temperature surveys, mechanical integrity checks, and the deployment and retrieval of
various downhole devices.
 Fishing, setting and retrieving plugs, gauges, etc.: Practical proficiency in these critical
operations, including the safe and effective use of specialized tools to recover lost
equipment (fishing), install isolation barriers (plugs), and deploy or recover data-
gathering instruments (gauges) in the wellbore.
You should also have strong knowledge of:
 Pressure control equipment (e.g., lubricators, stuffing boxes, BOPs): A
comprehensive understanding of their design, operational principles, assembly, testing,
and emergency procedures to maintain well integrity and prevent uncontrolled flow.
 Downhole diagnostics and well integrity checks: The ability to interpret data from
downhole tools to assess well performance, identify potential issues like restrictions or
leaks, and ensure the ongoing mechanical soundness of the wellbore.
 Reading and interpreting well schematics and job programs: The capability to
accurately understand detailed diagrams of the wellbore completion and follow step-by-
step operational plans, which is crucial for safe and efficient execution of all slickline
operations.
COMPUTER SKILLS:      
 Computer fundamentals, Internet Applications, Operating system of Windows, Microsoft
Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
MANDATORY CERTIFICATIONS
 IWCF or IADC Well Control
 BOSIET/FOET (for offshore work)
 First Aid / CPR

WELLHEAD ENGINEER

highly competent, experienced, and safety-conscious Wellhead Engineer to join our team and
support wellhead and well completion activities within the oil and gas industry. We are looking
for a professional with strong technical knowledge, practical field experience, and a commitment
to delivering safe, reliable, and efficient wellhead solutions.

POSITION

Experienced Wellhead Engineer


LOCATION: Port Harcourt, Nigeria / Field Locations as required


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


The successful candidate will be responsible for:
 Providing engineering and technical support for wellhead and completion activities.
 Planning, coordinating, and supervising wellhead installation, maintenance, testing, and
servicing activities.
 Reviewing wellhead, Christmas tree, casing head, tubing head and associated equipment
specifications.
 Supporting wellhead installation and pressure testing activities.
 Ensuring wellhead equipment is correctly installed, maintained, tested and fit-for-
purpose.
 Interpreting wellhead drawings, technical specifications and engineering documentation.
 Coordinating with clients, field personnel, vendors and other service providers.
 Preparing technical reports, work programmes, procedures and service documentation.
 Troubleshooting wellhead equipment and identifying appropriate corrective actions.
 Ensuring all activities comply with approved procedures, industry standards and client
requirements.
 Participating in risk assessments, toolbox meetings and HSE activities.
 Providing technical support during well intervention, completion, workover and related
field operations where required.
 Maintaining accurate records of equipment inspection, testing, maintenance and
certification.
 Supporting equipment selection, procurement and technical evaluation when required.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Candidates should possess:

 A Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering,
or a related engineering discipline.
 Relevant experience in wellhead, Christmas tree, completion, well intervention or
well servicing operations.
 Practical knowledge of wellhead and well completion equipment.
 Experience with installation, pressure testing, maintenance and troubleshooting of
wellhead equipment.
 Good understanding of well control principles and pressure-control equipment.
 Knowledge of relevant oil & gas industry standards and safe working practices.
 Strong technical report-writing and documentation skills.
 Good communication and interpersonal skills.
 Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
 Willingness to work offshore/onshore and in field locations as required.
DESIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
