POSITION: Laboratory Supervisor
QUALIFICATION:
B.Sc. 2nd class degree honors (minimum) in Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry, or equivalents with the ability to lead team members.
EXPERIENCE;
The ideal candidate should be able to;
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as GC, GC-MS, ICP, AAS, and Spectrophotometer and carry out routine laboratory analysis.
- Have participated in several environmental studies onshore & offshore
- Be able to write environmental and compliance monitoring reports
- Appreciates laboratory quality assurance and quality control
- Practical toxicity testing and report writing
- Have good knowledge of technical tendering/bid preparation
SKILLS
The ideal candidate will need to show:
- creative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- excellent critical thinking skills and a high level of numeracy
- a willingness to accept responsibility and make decisions
- a high level of attention to detail
- a willingness to work extended time
- excellent customer care skills and good commercial awareness
- an understanding of, and ability to work with, high-level computer technology.
- Ability to lead team
OTHERS
- ISO 9001, ISO 14001 /JHSE-MS training and
- ISO 17025 training
- MSC is an added advantage
- IPAN membership is an added advantage
