Job Title: Reservoir Engineer
Job Summary:
We seek an enthusiastic, highly skilled, motivated Reservoir Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing and managing reservoir performance and enhancing the recovery of hydrocarbons from oil and gas reservoirs. This role requires a deep understanding of reservoir behavior and the application of advanced engineering techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze production data, pressure data, and reservoir fluid properties to identify trends and potential issues.
- Utilize reservoir modeling software to simulate reservoir behavior and provide forecasts.
- Evaluate reservoir characteristics through data analysis and simulation models.
- Prepare and maintain reservoir management plans to maximize recovery and optimize production.
- Assist in designing and implementing field development plans, including well placement, completion techniques, and enhanced oil recovery methods.
- Collaborate with geologists, production engineers, and other technical teams to ensure integration of reservoir engineering with field operations.
- Monitor reservoir performance, including production rates and pressures, and recommend adjustments as necessary.
- Develop and implement production optimization strategies based on reservoir performance data.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation for management and stakeholders.
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in reservoir engineering technologies.
- Participate in research and pilot studies to evaluate new recovery techniques and technologies.
Qualifications:
The preferred candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geosciences, or related field. Master’s degree in Reservoir Engineering is an added advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years experience in reservoir engineering functions.
Technical Skills:
1). Strong knowledge of reservoir engineering principles, fluid flow dynamics and reservoir behaviour.
2). Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
3). Proficiency in the use of the following petroleum engineering software’s:
– MBAL
– PROSPER
– ECLIPSE
– PETREL / RE
Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
