JOB TITLE/POSITION: HSE Officer   QUALIFICATION REQUIRED AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Sc./HND in Health Safety & Environment (HSE) or any related science course HSE level 3 & NEBOSH IGC   Must have completed NYSC Minimum of 3 years experience Advanced knowledge of Computer applications eg   Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, etc   PERSONAL TRAIT EXPECTED: Effective communication in written and spoken English Problem-solving skills Time management skills Ability to work effectively in a team with a strong analytical mind Self-motivated and target-oriented Effective use of initiative Ability to work under pressure to meet challenging targets with minimal or no supervision   RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain zero-incident tolerance by ensuring staff compliance with all HSE procedures and policies Ensure pre-mobilization and demobilization checks during project execution Carry out routine scheduled HSE activities (meetings, Audits, drills, etc) Carry out facility maintenance and safety inspections. Enforce compliance with weekly vehicle inspections to ensure they are safe for operation Ensure proper documentation of Laser HSE statistics Carry out HSE training in the Laser Petroleum Geoscience Centre (LPGC) and conduct HSE inductions.  Prepare JHA and conduct Risk Assessment as required Respond to HSSE tender requirements and prepare contract HSE plan etc Receive and anchor all client’s HSE inspections and audits Coordinate staff health insurance issues Ensure annual HSE requirements met Promote HSSE awareness and ensure compliance with the Laser HSE plan, policies, and procedures Carry out incident investigation and reporting etc Ensure proper HSE documentation for Laser Engineering in line with global best practices            Membership in ISPON or other Safety professional bodies is an added advantage.    To Apply: Send your CV to: [email protected]            Deadline 24th of February 2024.

POSITION: Core Analyst EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: A minimum of a Master’s degree preferably in Geology/Geological Sciences, Petroleum Engineering. Advanced analytical skills and working knowledge in MS Office, with emphasis on Excel. Minimum of 7-10 years experience in a recognized Core Laboratory as a Core Analyst (Core Handling, Core Processing, Sample Preparation, Routine Core Analysis & SCAL). Maintains a high degree of ethical conduct. A good team player. Develop and deliver technical presentations.   RESPONSIBILITIES As a Core Analyst, you will be responsible for the following tasks: Core Processing. This will involve storage, preservation, CT scanning, spectral/gamma ray, core slabbing, core plugging, etc. The work sometimes is physically strenuous as it involves lifting cores. Sample Preparation. Wrapping the sample with Nickel/Tin sleeves with different mesh and screen sizes, Soxhlet cleaning with Toluene and Methanol, sample drying, CT-scanning, brine, and oil preparation, etc. Routine Core Analysis. You will be involved in standard core analysis, such as fluid saturation using Dean Stark and Retort oven methodology, determination of grain/ bulk density, lithology description, UV/WL determination, sieve analysis, porosity and permeability, etc. Special Core Analysis. Have basic knowledge of SCAL.
