POSITION: Laboratory Supervisor

QUALIFICATION:

B.Sc. 2nd class degree honors (minimum) in Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry, or equivalents with the ability to lead team members.

 

 

EXPERIENCE;

The ideal candidate should be able to;

• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as GC, GC-MS, ICP, AAS, and Spectrophotometer and carry out routine laboratory analysis.
• Have participated in several environmental studies onshore & offshore
• Be able to write environmental and compliance monitoring reports
• Appreciates laboratory quality assurance and quality control
• Practical toxicity testing and report writing
• Have good knowledge of technical tendering/bid preparation

 

SKILLS

The ideal candidate will need to show:

• creative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• excellent critical thinking skills and a high level of numeracy
• a willingness to accept responsibility and make decisions
• a high level of attention to detail
• a willingness to work extended time
• excellent customer care skills and good commercial awareness
• an understanding of, and ability to work with, high-level computer technology.
• Ability to lead team

 

OTHERS

• ISO 9001, ISO 14001 /JHSE-MS training and
• ISO 17025 training
• MSC is an added advantage
• IPAN membership is an added advantage
