- Monitor, control, and operate the marine and cargo operations efficiently, ensuring all procedures are adhered to and all defects are reported to the offshore technical lead.
- Ensure a pro-active and continuous approach to safety.
- Provide Marine Control Room watch keeping duties, monitoring cargo, ballast, mooring, communication systems and environmental conditions.
- Control, Monitor, receive, store and discharge crude oil cargo and slops, complying with all the working and reporting procedures and relevant standards set down.
- Ensure the quality of the Cargo, minimize the quantity of free water present in the cargo and perform cargo deck maintenance activities.
- Monitor all traffic in the area in order to mitigate the risks of collision.
- Perform routine and emergency ballasting/de-ballasting.
- Plan, monitor and execute all tank entry preparations and inspections.
- Update Maintenance Management System, input data and print job cards as requested.
- Report any irregularities and advise (where necessary) to the Operations Supervisor and record the relevant information in the marine/official logbook.
