Job Summary:
Perform distillation analysis on crude oil and condensate samples according to ASTM D2892/5236
Carry out other Crude assay analysis on the Crude and fractions: including, Distillation D-86, basic
sediments and water measurement, viscosity measurement, density measurement, API
measurement, specific gravity measurement, Reid vapor pressure measurement, aniline point etc
Analyzing each data obtained ensuring its accuracy and reliability, and interpret results to support
crude marketing and refinery decisions.
Maintaining and calibrating Crude assay equipment to ensure accurate data collection..
Preparing and maintaining accurate records of analyses and reports for internal and external
stakeholders.
Implementing and maintaining quality control procedures to ensure the reliability and accuracy of
Crude Assay data.
Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and protocols in the laboratory environment.
Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the
crude assay laboratory..
Investigating and resolving technical issues that may arise in the Crude assay laboratory.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (minimum of second class upper division) or
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (minimum of second class upper division).
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in Crude Assay analysis and Data QA/QC.

Strong analytical skills, data interpretation skills, leadership skills, communication skills, and
problem-solving skills.
Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power point, Distillation software, (Hysys is an
additional advantage).
Ability to interpret data, identify issues, and propose solutions. .

Ability to be proactive and giving attention to details.
