JOB SPECIFICATION
- Operate and maintain Laboratory equipment such as GC, GC-MS, ICP, AAS, and SPECTROPHOTMETER, and carry out routine laboratory analysis.
- Prepare schedules for equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Have participated in several Environmental Studies onshore & offshore.
- Be able to write Environmental and compliance monitoring Report.
- Appreciates laboratory quality assurance and quality control.
- Have knowledge of oil field water analysis.
- Practical Toxicity analysis, Quality assurance, Quality Control (QA/QC) and report writing.
- Have good knowledge of technical tender/bid preparation
- Any other test/duty as may be required.
- Comply to safety rules and regulations
Other Requirements
The ideal candidate should:
- Have a master’s degree in chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or any related field.
- Have minimum of seven (7) years relevant work experience and should be able to work with minimal or no supervision. Knowledge of food analysis is an added advantage.
- Must be a team player
- He should have good communication skills in order to communicate data and results in a clear manner and should be able to transfer knowledge and best practices to members of his team.
- Be ready to work overtime if necessary to meet the needs of the business and clients.
- Have good computer literacy, with particular competence in MS office software.
- Exhibit creativity, ingenuity and resourcefulness.
- Be able to work in an organized and planned fashion.
- Have analytical and judgmental skills to find and implement solutions.
