summary : To plan and execute Slickline operations as required on client installations both on & offshore as required and in line with Company and Client Company policies, procedures and systems, Statutory Regulations and good industry practice. To run Slickline operations, including but not limited to the supervision of Junior Slickline Operators, Slickline Assistant Operators & Helpers/Interns
Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Carry out all aspect of slickline operation in a safe and timeous manner
Lead crews in providing the complete range of slickline services under all operating conditions
To review well operations programmes & well files as required & to direct the team in the planning of the operation & preparation of equipment necessary to execute a successful well intervention operation.
Checking selected equipment prior to load out
Ensure operation of equipment is adhered to in accordance of the companies operating procedures
Delegate responsibilities and tasks within team as appropriate to team member’s competency.
To ensure that Slickline and multi-skilled personnel under your immediate control are sufficiently trained, qualified and experienced to carry out the work they are allocated.
Ensure that all Slickline and associated equipment that is to be mobilized is certified and “fit for purpose”.
To actively promote and comply with the Company and client HSE, operational and QA procedures and work instructions to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
Participate in tool box talks, risk assessments and safety meetings.
To complete company operational reports in accordance with quality procedures, and distribute the same in a manner consistent with the client’s demands.
Ensure that all personnel under your immediate control conduct their work in accordance with Company Client / Customer approved practices.
Attend regular safety briefings as arranged by the Company.
Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by the Slickline Manager within the time frame specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.
Required Skills:
Good knowledge & understanding of well services sector of the oil industry. Previous experience of Slickline operations in an operating role.
Good all round knowledge of all of the major well service equipment manufacturers’ equipment.
The practical ability to maintain the tools & equipment as required to carry out a Slickline operation on and offshore.
Ability to manage crews & assist with the control of logistical matters for & on behalf of both Intervention Services & clients as required.
Strong communication skills – written, verbal and listening.
Leadership skills – Interpersonal Understanding.
Hands-on experience in one or more well service core disciplines.
Ability to develop and energize people.
Must have a digital marketing skill
Required Experience:
6+ years experience in Slickline
Experience working on Otis and Baker completions will be an asset
Possession of valid IWCF will be an advantage
