KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Expertise in: You’re expected to possess proven expertise in:
Well intervention techniques: A solid grasp of the methodologies used to address wellbore issues or optimize production. This covers operations like pressure and temperature surveys, mechanical integrity checks, and the deployment and retrieval of various downhole devices.
Slickline tools and equipment: This includes a thorough understanding of surface components (like slickline units, winches, and pressure control equipment suchlers, lubricators, and BOPs) and downhole tools (such as pulling tools, running tools, jars, and specialized cutting or bailing tools). You should know their functions, limitations, and proper application for various well conditions.

Fishing, setting and retrieving plugs, gauges, etc.: Practical proficiency in these critical operations, including the safe and effective use of specialized tools to recover lost equipment (fishing), install isolation barriers (plugs), and deploy or recover data-gathering instruments (gauges) in the wellbore.
You should also have strong knowledge of:
Pressure control equipment (e.g., lubricators, stuffing boxes, BOPs): A comprehensive understanding of their design, operational principles, assembly, testing, and emergency procedures to maintain well integrity and prevent uncontrolled flow.
Downhole diagnostics and well integrity checks: The ability to interpret data from downhole tools to assess well performance, identify potential issues like restrictions or leaks, and ensure the ongoing mechanical soundness of the wellbore.
Reading and interpreting well schematics and job programs: The capability to accurately understand detailed diagrams of the wellbore completion and follow step-by-step operational plans, which is crucial for safe and efficient execution of all slickline operations.
