JOB POSITION: Secretary to the Managing Consultant

 

Key required Responsibilities:

  •  Proficient in Office Software: Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or equivalent office productivity tools is essential for creating and editing documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and managing emails.
  • Communication Tools: Familiarity with various communication and collaboration tools such as email platforms, video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
  • File Management and Cloud Services: Proficiency in organizing and managing digital files, as well as using cloud storage services like Google Drive, Dropbox, or Microsoft OneDrive for secure and collaborative document storage.

VACANCY 2024: SLICKLINE ENGINEER

JOB TITLE/POSITION: SLICKLINE ENGINEER

 

Overall, Purpose and Objectives:

To plan and execute Slickline operations as required on client installations both on & offshore as required and in line with Company and Client Company policies, procedures and systems, Statutory Regulations and good industry practice. To run Slickline operations, including but not limited to the supervision of Junior Slickline Operators, Slickline Assistant Operators & Helpers/Interns.

The candidate must demonstrate competence in slickline operations including:

  • BHP Test, Fishing, Swabbing, Zone Change
  • Wax Cutting, Sand Bailing, Well Integrity Test, Plug & Unplugging
  • Retrieval & Installation of Safety Valves (SCSSV), Gas lift Valves
  • Well completion
  • Familiar with Otis and Baker tools & accessories and completions

 

Required Skills:

  • Good knowledge & understanding of the well services sector of the oil industry. Previous experience of Slickline operations in an operating role.
  • Good all-round knowledge of all of the major well service equipment.
  • The practical ability to maintain the tools & equipment as required to carry out a Slickline operation on and offshore.
  • Ability to manage crews & assist with the control of logistical matters for & on behalf of both Intervention Services & clients as required.
  • Strong communication skills – written, verbal and listening.
  • Leadership skills – Interpersonal Understanding.
  • Hands-on experience in one or more well services core disciplines.
  • Ability to develop and energize people.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ year’s experience in Slickline
  • Possession of valid IWCF will be an advantage
  • Experience in servicing of downhole tools

Educational Qualification

  • Minimum of 1st Degree in any Engineering or related field

VACANCY 2024: HSE OFFICER

JOB TITLE/POSITION: HSE Officer

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

  • Sc./HND in Health Safety & Environment (HSE) or any related science course
  • HSE level 3 & NEBOSH IGC  
  • Must have completed NYSC
  • Minimum of 3 years experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Computer applications eg   Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, etc

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain zero-incident tolerance by ensuring staff compliance with all HSE procedures and policies
  • Ensure pre-mobilization and demobilization checks during project execution
  • Carry out routine scheduled HSE activities (meetings, Audits, drills, etc)
  • Carry out facility maintenance and safety inspections.
  • Enforce compliance with weekly vehicle inspections to ensure they are safe for operation
  • Ensure proper documentation of Laser HSE statistics
  • Carry out HSE training in the Laser Petroleum Geoscience Centre (LPGC) and conduct HSE inductions. 
  • Prepare JHA and conduct Risk Assessment as required
  • Respond to HSSE tender requirements and prepare contract HSE plan etc
  • Receive and anchor all client’s HSE inspections and audits
  • Coordinate staff health insurance issues
  • Ensure annual HSE requirements met
  • Promote HSSE awareness and ensure compliance with the Laser HSE plan, policies, and procedures
  • Carry out incident investigation and reporting etc
  • Ensure proper HSE documentation for Laser Engineering in line with global best practices

 

         Membership in ISPON or other Safety professional bodies is an added advantage.

VACANCY! CORE ANALYST

POSITION: Core Analyst

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree preferably in Geology/Geological Sciences, Petroleum Engineering.
  • Advanced analytical skills and working knowledge in MS Office, with emphasis on Excel.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years experience in a recognized Core Laboratory as a Core Analyst (Core Handling, Core Processing, Sample Preparation, Routine Core Analysis & SCAL).
  • Maintains a high degree of ethical conduct.
  • A good team player.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Core Analyst, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Core Processing. This will involve storage, preservation, CT scanning, spectral/gamma ray, core slabbing, core plugging, etc. The work sometimes is physically strenuous as it involves lifting cores.
  • Sample Preparation. Wrapping the sample with Nickel/Tin sleeves with different mesh and screen sizes, Soxhlet cleaning with Toluene and Methanol, sample drying, CT-scanning, brine, and oil preparation, etc.
  • Routine Core Analysis. You will be involved in standard core analysis, such as fluid saturation using Dean Stark and Retort oven methodology, determination of grain/ bulk density, lithology description, UV/WL determination, sieve analysis, porosity and permeability, etc.
  • Special Core Analysis. Have basic knowledge of SCAL. Determination of relative permeability, wettability, capillary pressure, electrical properties, etc.

 

Basic Skills in operating NMR equipment will be an added advantage.

POSITION: Laboratory Supervisor

QUALIFICATION:

B.Sc. 2nd class degree honors (minimum) in Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry, or equivalents with the ability to lead team members.

 

 

EXPERIENCE;

The ideal candidate should be able to;

  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as GC, GC-MS, ICP, AAS, and Spectrophotometer and carry out routine laboratory analysis.
  • Have participated in several environmental studies onshore & offshore
  • Be able to write environmental and compliance monitoring reports
  • Appreciates laboratory quality assurance and quality control
  • Practical toxicity testing and report writing
  • Have good knowledge of technical tendering/bid preparation
